A big THANK YOU to Barnes & Noble Booksellers and CRM Jonny Holt for hosting last night’s event at the Barnes & Noble Grossmont Center store. We had standing room only — nearly 50 people in attendance.
And a big THANK YOU to those of you who attended the event, which, besides myself and my book, Dare I Call It Murder?: A Memoir of Violent Loss, featured Arthur Raybold, author of Home From the Banks, and Robin Skone-Palmer, author of Beyond the Spotlight: On the Road With Phyllis Diller.
We all made presentations and signed books.
A portion of the proceeds from the event benefited Casa de Oro Branch Library (San Diego County) and its literacy program.
Among the attendees were fellow authors Barbara McNally, who recently published her memoir, Unbridled, and Linda Schroeder, whose novel Artists & Thieves won the San Diego Books Awards in 2011 for Action/Suspense.
Check out the Facebook photo album of the event.
Photos are also on the Wigeon Publishing and the Dare I Call It Murder? websites.
This was my third event at Barnes & Noble stores. I truly appreciate the stores and their customer relations managers for making the effort to host these author events.
Sounds like a great turnout. Glad it went well. Sorry I couldn’t make it.
